Dear Phoenixites,



As you are know doubt aware the Phoenix are off to Cardiff this year for our annual tour, we will leave Friday the 5th of June AM and return Monday 8th June PM (Workers / Students book the Friday and Monday off work). The total cost of the tour for transport and 3 nights accommodation will be £78.50 this breaks down to



£35 for the hotel

£43.50 for the trains



Those that are worried about saving money for the tour bare this in mind - Training stops on the 7th of May for this current season that gives you 4-5 wks of your £10 training fee and you travel to and from the rink which should be in the region of £50.



I will try to detail the plans as much as possible however if you have any questions email me, speak to me at training or give me a call/text/facebook.



How are we getting there?



Providing everyone books at least by mid may the trains will be the cheapest option with Advance Single tickets. It was actually painless getting the trains, it saves folks driving your not crushed between kit bags and its reasonably quick. Cardiff Central is also just round the corner from our hotel which also works out nicely.



You will be responsible for booking your own Trains OR if you are unable to for any reason bring your money to me as soon as you can and I'll book them for you, Tickets can be booked via http://www.thetrainline.com but there are other sites national express etc. The trains we are booking are as follows and are 4 single tickets to get the best fare:



GOING OUT

Edinburgh Waverley to Crewe - Departs 08:52 Arrives 11:59 Price £11.50

Crewe to Cardiff Central - Departs 13:12 Arrives 15:53 Price £11



COMING HOME

Cardiff Central to Manchester Picadilly - Departs 09:50 Arrives 13:15 Price £11

Manchester Picadilly to Edinburgh Waverley - Departs 14:16 Arrives 17:39 Price £10



Transport to and from the Rink will be arranged once down there and we are looking at either a van for the kits or a minibus as a cheaper option to the taxi fleets that we experienced during the Celtic Weekend.





Where are we staying?



We will be staying at the Etap hotel and the rooms are already provisionally booked. We will each pay for the rooms when we get down there so you have until the very day of the tour to pay for these. It will be 3 to a room and cost £35 for 3 nights stay Fri / Sat / Sun.

The rest of the weekend will be spent galavanting - If you are swithering over whether or not to go - DO IT! you won't regret it ask any of the guys who have been on the previous Phoenix Tours or the Eagles and Beagles guys who went to the Celtic weekend and they will tell you how great it was! If you don't go you will regret it.
